Date: 5th Jun 2020 @ 5:49pm
Duckling blog Class Blog Week Beginning 2nd June
This week the Ducklings have been looking at all the alphabet sounds, concentrating on the letters ‘d’ and ‘l’. We have also been looking at stories to target familiar sounds and further exploring high and low pitches.
Our number work this week has been exploring take away. The girls have been singing counting games and rhymes via dojo videos and we have played practical games, using objects to carry out take away calculations.
Our topic work has been ‘Celebrations’. I have seen some lovely examples of work being carried out with planning birthday parties, making cards, sharing special meals and discovering all about other countries traditional ways of celebrating.
This week Anna has been using beads to explore counting one less. Fabulous Anna!
Grace has been working hard all week on her take away and sounds activities. She has also been practising yoga each morning. Here she is demonstrating the ‘boat pose’. Excellent Grace!
Etta has been also working very hard this week and has embraced the topic work of ‘celebrations’, she and her sister produced a fabulously informative piece of work, detailing many different traditional ways of celebrating. She has also been enjoying her daily PE session, here she is looking super sporty – well done Etta.
Clara has had a busy week this week, she wrote a fabulous invitation inviting her cousins to her party. She has also been working on a beautiful painting of an altar. Super Clara!
Finally, I would like to say a great big thank you to all of the Ducklings! I have been sent some amazing pictures of the girls working hard and very importantly having fun!! You are all super stars!!
