Prep 2: Week 8
Date: 14th Jun 2020 @ 9:26pm
Prep 2 Class Blog Week Beginning 8th June
Mrs Robert’s assembly on Friday led to Prep 2 having a lot of fun with bubbles as they thought about the variety of wonderful things to see in God’s world.
The theme of everyday superheroes continued this week in English. The children read a poem called My Mother is a Superhero. They answered comprehension questions about the poem and then went on to write sentences describing someone they know as a superhero.
Prep 2 have continued to use number facts to add and subtract. They have also been telling the time to the half hour on analogue and digital clocks.
The project Under the Sea inspired children to do some wonderful artwork. They also found information about fascinating creatures that live in the oceans.
Well done to all the girls in Prep 2 for working hard and sharing their news so well when they meet via Zoom.
The stars this week are:
Amalie for giving good answers to comprehension questions and for her writing about a superhero.
Roisin for her work on telling the time.
Megan for her paintings of an ocean gooseberry and colourful coral.
Avishka for her under the sea picture using bubble wrap.
