Prep 2: Week 9
Date: 21st Jun 2020 @ 8:35pm
Prep 2 Class Blog Week Beginning 15th June
At the beginning of the week Prep 2 enjoyed reading the story, 'Dear Greenpeace' by Simon James. They found out about the layout and features of letters and wrote their own letters. At the end of the week they practised reading and writing common, ‘question’ words and wrote their own question sentences. They also thought of questions to ask their PE teacher for their sports project.
In Maths the children have been revising doubling and halving. They have also been finding the difference between heights of cubes and quantities.
The project on Sport has been good fun. The children can’t wait for the weather to improve so that they can get outside and practise some challenges for the virtual sports day.
It has been lovely to hear that girls and their families are finding ways to raise money for charities. Well done Megan who wrote;
Today I made a breakfast buffet for my family. I prepared all the food and drinks with some help from Dad. I asked everyone to pay £2 or more for their breakfast. Any money collected
I 'm giving it to charity. I 'm going to get more money for charity by doing other things. So far I have collected £15.
The stars this week are:
Evelyn for thinking of good questions and for lovely project work.
Leah for taking care over the presentation of her work.
Sara for good Maths work and for sharing interesting facts after her visit to the zoo.
Orla for writing good questions. We enjoyed hearing about her birthday.
