Prep 6 Class Blog Week Beginning 8th June
Prep 6 continue to work extremely hard on their preparations for entrance exams this week. Mrs Ostick is delighted with their focus and work ethic.
In RE, the girls have been finding out about Judaism with special regard to Jewish practices and celebrations. You will find some of their wonderful work in the photo gallery linked to this blog post. Children have recreated the Seder Plate from collage materials and have made their own mezuzah. They were magnificent! Well done girls.
As part of the project work this week of ‘Under the Sea’, the girls have been busy researching and presenting their findings in a variety of ways. They have created PowerPoints, such as Caitlyn’s on Bioluminescence. Gracie even built a junkyard boat from scrap materials to see if it would float in her bath! Let’s hope it didn’t end up ‘Under the Sea’!
In her spare time, Olivia has been working on building with Lego! She has made a fabulous model of Yoda from Star Wars and has now begun on an even bigger model. Watch this space!
Mrs Ostick was delighted to receive news of a very well behaved, hardworking and well-mannered girl in Prep 6 this week. Congratulations, Helena, on being an excellent role model to others.
The class stars this week are: Helena, Lilly, Rosa and Kelly.
