Prep 3 2018 - 2019
Prep 3 Class Teacher
Prep 3 Teaching Assistant
A very warm welcome to Prep 3
The girls pride themselves on being the top class of lower school, setting a good example for the younger girls to follow. Within the classroom they now take full responsibility for their own textbooks and resources.
The broad curriculum is delivered by the class teacher together with specialist teachers for PE, music, dance, French and computing. A small class size enables every girl to be appropriately supported or challenged with a classroom ethos that learning involves making mistakes.
We therefore continually celebrate academic effort, achievement and innovation alongside kindness and thoughtfulness, as the girls aspire to be their very best.
School visits take place throughout the academic year, beginning with a Victorian experience at Dunham Massey. The girls also take part in art workshops at a Manchester gallery and study the habitats at Formby Point. We have plenty of visitors to school too, the favourite being chicks at Easter time.
This is also a very special year in the Catholic Church as the girls make the Sacraments of First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion. Preparations involve the girls, together with their parents, creating a beautiful Golden Book keepsake to remember the year.
Finally, prep 3 have set a fundraising target of £100 to feed one child at Sr Orla’s school in South Sudan for a whole year. We have plenty of fun ideas to achieve our goal!
Together with the support of parents, I know we are going to enjoy a happy and successful year.
