River Bollin Geography Field Trip
Prep 6 visited Macclesfield Forest in The Peak District as part of their Humanities work on Rivers. They were searching for the source of the River Bollin and conducting fieldwork enquiries to determine how the river changes as it progresses to its middle course. The girls measured the speed, depth and width of the river at various stations and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Peak District too! Lunch in the forest was wonderful on such a beautiful day and the girls learnt so much about rivers and nature which will feed back into their classroom studies over the next few weeks.
