A Visit to the Blue Planet Aquarium
Lesson: Understanding the World
Class: Ducklings Year: 2019 - 2020
On Monday the 3rd February Prep 1 and the Ducklings, along with a small army of parent helpers, visited the Blue Planet Aquarium.
The trip began with a journey on a coach, which the girls all found very exciting! Upon arrival and fuelled by a snack, we began our tour around. We saw a variety of sea creatures, including: seahorses, sting rays, electric eels, jellyfish, sharks, a huge variety of fish and much much more. We enjoyed a classroom lesson and were taught lots of interesting facts about some of the sealife we had seen. We were also taught about the huge problems that sealife faces with the addition of so much plastic waste in our seas.
The trip finished with a visit to the play area and the girls were all very adventurous in their climbing. A big thankyou to those who helped to make it such a lovely trip for the girls.
